Work under supervision of the firm’s Principal Engineer.  Prepare cost estimates, plans, designs and calculation packages for a variety of building phases, types and uses. Perform analysis and design of Masonry, Steel, Light Gage Steel, Wood and Reinforced Concrete Structures; Perform above analyses in accordance to current building codes and standards such as IBC, ACI-318, ACI-530, ASCE-7, NDS Wood Codes; Utilize drafting, BIM and structural analysis software; Perform building inspections and prepare detailed technical procedures and schemes for structural repairs, rehabilitation and/or demolition procedures; Correspond and collaborate with architects and other engineers to streamline projects (Such as responding to RFIs); Represent the Principal Engineer and attend meetings with clients, contractors, co-consultants and municipal/gov. agencies to achieve objectives of a given project; Clearly and effectively communicate concepts to audiences not necessarily familiar with relevant technical details.  



MS degree with an emphasis in Structural Engineering and one year of relevant work experience including internship experience , as well as Engineer-in-Training  (EIT) certification, or alternatively BSc degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering and two years of relevant work experience including internship experience as well as the EIT certification.  

Familiarity with International Building Code from which NYC Building Codes and Department of Buildings Regulations are derived, as well as following software: CSC Tedds, MathCAD, Enercalc, STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, Robot Structural Analysis, and Revit.
